Dison Group signed an agreement with Shandong University of Science and Technology

On April 14th, the president Yao Qingguo met with alumni Cheng Bin, former Education Commission of Suqian City, Jiangsu Province, Li Aiming, Chairman of Jiangsu Dison Group, and Li Shicong, Deputy Director of the Science and Technology Bureau of Gaoyou High-tech Zone, Jiangsu Province. Li Kezhou, member of the school's Party Committee and Minister of the Propaganda Department, accompanied the meeting. Xu Lingping, Party Secretary of the School of Telecommunications, and Dean Chen Da also attended the meeting.

During the discussion, Yao Qingguo introduced the recent development of the school and expressed gratitude to Cheng Bin for his concern for the alma mater and his efforts to provide cooperation opportunities and communication channels between the school and enterprises. Yao Qingguo thanked Li Aiming and Li Shicong for their trust and support to the school and the School of Telecommunications, promising that the school will leverage its intellectual advantages to contribute to solving practical technical problems for the local area and enterprises.

Yao Qingguo stated that in recent years, Shandong University of Science and Technology has deeply studied and implemented the central and superior instructions on the development of higher education, taken practical and effective measures, built a scientifically sound academic evaluation system, and conducted scientific research oriented towards the forefront of science and the real needs of society. This has allowed scientific achievements to address practical issues on-site, serving the needs of economic and social development and making its due contribution to national and regional economic and social development.

Cheng Bin reviewed his experiences during his studies and work at his alma mater, expressing gratitude for the nurturing he received. He mentioned that this year marks the 70th anniversary of the school's founding, and he was delighted to see the remarkable changes at the alma mater during his visit, promising to contribute his efforts to the school's development.

Li Aiming introduced the situation of Jiangsu Dison Group and expressed the hope that the signing of the school-enterprise cooperation agreement with the School of Telecommunications would establish a long-term win-win mechanism for "industry-university-research-application" cooperation. He aimed to deepen cooperation with the school in broader fields in the future, building an integrated platform for innovative development through the integration of resources from both sides in talent cultivation, technological innovation, results transformation, smart products, smart cities, and other areas.

On April 15th, Li Aiming and Cheng Bin visited the School of Telecommunications to participate in the signing ceremony of the school-enterprise cooperation agreement between Jiangsu Dison Group and the School of Telecommunications. Li Aiming and Chen Da signed the agreement on behalf of both parties.

According to the agreement, in the future, Jiangsu Dison Group will cooperate with the School of Telecommunications in talent cultivation, research and development of smart street lighting,soalr street light, LED street light and etc. This includes jointly establishing graduate workstations and university student employment and entrepreneurship practice bases, collaborating on talent cultivation; establishing the "Jiangsu Dison" scholarship to motivate students to study hard; setting up a fund for student innovation and entrepreneurship to sponsor student innovation, entrepreneurship, and competition activities; and jointly establishing the "Shandong University of Science and Technology Jiangsu (Yangzhou) Smart Street Lamp Technology Research Center" to conduct scientific research and develop new products.
